A 34-suite Aman resort in a private desert valley at Canyon Point, southern Utah, close to the Arizona border and about 25 minutes from Page. Concrete buildings dyed to match the sandstone, a pool wrapped around a rock escarpment, and a large spa drawing on Navajo healing traditions.
Best for
A quiet, design-led desert escape with hiking, stargazing and long spa afternoons, and a base for the surrounding national parks and slot canyons. Suited to couples and families who want seclusion and space and are comfortable with a remote location.
Consider if
It is one of the most expensive resorts in the United States, books out months ahead, and sits in open desert where summer heat is intense and there is little nearby beyond the resort and the parks you drive to. The architecture is stark modernist concrete rather than cosy, which is the appeal for some and not for others.
Why it's Tranquil
The resort sits alone in a protected valley ringed by mesas and sandstone cliffs, with no other development in sight and only 34 suites, so it stays very quiet. The buildings are low and coloured to disappear into the rock, and the central pool curves around a natural escarpment. The Aman Spa has water pavilions, a floatation pool and an open-air hot tub for stargazing, and rates include daily guided hikes straight from the property into the desert.
